Grade 4 Student Shines at the 42nd Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Competitions
Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School is delighted to share a proud achievement by one of its young and talented students.
Shreedha of Grade 4 secured Third Place in the Devotional
Singing Competition in the Classes 1–4 category at the District-Level
Competitions organised as part of the 42nd Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava
celebrations.
The achievement is especially commendable as Shreedha
represented the school on a wider competitive platform and impressed with her
melodious and devotional performance.
A Celebration of Devotion, Culture and Young Talent
The district-level competitions formed part of the cultural
activities associated with the 42nd Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava, bringing
together talented young participants and providing them an opportunity to
showcase their abilities in a spiritually and culturally enriching environment.
The stage setting itself reflected the devotional character
of the occasion, with the programme being conducted in the traditional
atmosphere associated with the Ganeshotsava celebrations.
Among the various young participants, Shreedha represented Alevoor
Poornaprajna Public School in the devotional singing category meant for
students from Classes 1 to 4.
A Confident and Melodious Performance
Performing alone before an audience and judges is an
accomplishment in itself for a young child.
Shreedha presented her devotional song with confidence,
composure and sincerity, displaying not only her musical ability but also an
appreciation for the devotional tradition represented by the competition.
Her performance earned her the Third Place at the district
level, making it a memorable achievement for Shreedha, her family and the
entire APPS community.
Nurturing Our Cultural Heritage
Devotional music occupies a special place in Indian cultural
tradition. It combines music with values of devotion, humility and spiritual
reflection and provides children with an opportunity to connect with India's
rich cultural heritage.
Participation in such competitions also develops qualities
that extend far beyond music. Children learn the value of:
- regular
practice and perseverance;
- confidence
while performing before an audience;
- concentration
and discipline;
- appreciation
of music and culture;
- healthy
competition;
- accepting
both success and challenges positively.
Shreedha's participation and achievement therefore represent
not only a prize won, but also an important step in her overall development.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
At Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School, education is viewed
as the development of the whole child.
While academic achievement remains important, students are
also encouraged to explore and develop their individual talents through music,
dance, art, literature, sports, cultural activities and other co-curricular
competitions.
Participation in external competitions gives children
valuable exposure beyond the familiar environment of the school. It helps them
experience new situations, meet other talented participants and develop the
confidence required to perform on larger platforms.
Shreedha's achievement is a fine example of what young
children can accomplish when talent is supported by dedication, encouragement
and opportunity.
An Inspiration to Fellow Students
Achievements by young students have a special significance
within a school community.
When one child confidently steps onto a competitive stage
and succeeds, it encourages many others to discover and develop their own
talents.
Shreedha's success will undoubtedly inspire her fellow
students to participate enthusiastically in cultural and co-curricular
activities and to pursue their interests with determination.
The school believes that every child has a unique talent
waiting to be discovered and nurtured.
🏆 APPS Celebrates Talent
