The Interact Club of Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School (APPS) actively participated in the Zonal Interact Assembly 2026 held on 23 August 2026 at Suraksha Sabha Bhavana, Parkala. The programme, hosted by the Rotary Club of Parkala, was conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and provided an enriching platform for young Interactors to learn more about leadership, teamwork, communication and service to society.
The APPS Interact Club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manipal, and the students participated in the programme under the guidance of Mrs. Suvarna, Teacher Coordinator.

Their participation provided them with an opportunity to
interact with fellow Interactors and Rotary leaders and to gain a better
understanding of the responsibilities associated with leadership and community
service.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
The Zonal Interact Assembly was more than a formal gathering. It served as an important learning experience for the students by exposing them to the ideals of Rotary and Interact.
Through the programme, students were encouraged to
understand the importance of leadership, teamwork and effective communication.
They also learned how young people can contribute meaningfully to society
through community-service initiatives, awareness programmes and socially
relevant projects.
Such opportunities help students realise that leadership is not merely about holding a position. It involves accepting responsibility, working with others, communicating effectively and contributing positively to the community.
Values of Responsibility, Discipline and Kindness
An important message conveyed during the programme was the
need to cultivate values such as responsibility, discipline and kindness.
Students were encouraged to understand the significance of helping others and serving society. These values are closely aligned with the educational philosophy of Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School, where academic learning is complemented by opportunities that promote social awareness, character development and responsible citizenship.
Participation in Interact activities enables students to
recognise social needs around them and motivates them to become compassionate
and responsible members of society.
Insightful Sessions by Rotary Leadership
The programme included two informative sessions conducted
for the participating Interactors.
The resource person, Rtn. B. M. Bhat, Assistant Governor,
provided the students with valuable insights into the roots and development of
the Rotary movement. The sessions helped the young participants understand the
purpose of Rotary, its tradition of service and the role played by Rotary and
Interact clubs in promoting community welfare.
The students were also introduced to the journey and
experiences associated with Rotary district leadership, including reference to Dr.
B. M. Bhat, as recorded in the programme report. The interaction enabled
students to appreciate how service-oriented leadership can make a meaningful
difference to communities.
Building Young Leaders Through Interact
Interact Clubs provide school students with opportunities to develop leadership skills while participating in activities that benefit their school and the wider community.
For the students of APPS, participation in the Zonal
Interact Assembly was an opportunity to move beyond classroom learning and
experience the importance of cooperation, service, communication and leadership
in practice.
Interaction with Rotary members and students from other
Interact Clubs also gave them an opportunity to exchange ideas, understand
different approaches to community service and broaden their outlook.
A Memorable and Enriching Experience
The Zonal Interact Assembly proved to be a valuable and
enriching experience for the APPS student representatives. It strengthened
their understanding of the ideals of Rotary and inspired them to take an active
role in service-oriented activities.
The programme reinforced an important lesson: meaningful
leadership begins with a willingness to serve.
Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School appreciates the efforts of the Rotary Club of Parkala for hosting the programme, the Rotary Club of Manipal for sponsoring and supporting the school's Interact Club, and Rtn. B. M. Bhat, Assistant Governor, for sharing his knowledge and experience with the young participants.
The school also congratulates its Interact Club members and Mrs.
Suvarna, Teacher Coordinator, for representing APPS and making productive use
of this important learning opportunity.
Service, Leadership and Fellowship
Through programmes such as the Zonal Interact Assembly, APPS
continues to encourage its students to develop not only academic excellence but
also the qualities needed to become confident leaders, compassionate
individuals and responsible citizens.
Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School wishes its young
Interactors every success as they continue their journey of leadership,
fellowship and service to society.
