Event In-charge Teachers: Mrs. Trupti and Mrs. Arpita
The refreshing spirit of the monsoon filled Alevoor
Poornaprajna Public School with colour, creativity, and cheerful excitement
on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, as our young learners enthusiastically
participated in a vibrant Monsoon Activity Day.
Designed to combine joyful learning with hands-on creative experiences, the programme gave children an opportunity to explore the wonders of the rainy season through art, craft, science, and play. The enthusiastic participation of our little stars made the event a wonderful success and one of the most colourful activities of the term.
🎨 Creative Highlights of
the Day
🌂 Umbrella Showcase &
Solar System Creation
One of the major attractions of the day was the imaginative Umbrella
Showcase. Students transformed ordinary umbrellas into eye-catching works
of art using colours, decorations, and innovative ideas.
The highlight was an impressive light-up Umbrella Solar System, beautifully combining science, light, and creativity. This unique creation captured everyone's attention and demonstrated how learning can become exciting when imagination and scientific curiosity come together.
🍄 Eco-Friendly Mushroom
Crafting
The children explored the world of rainy-season organisms
through an innovative and environmentally friendly activity. Discarded
coconut shells were creatively transformed into beautiful mushrooms,
introducing students to the importance of reuse and sustainable crafting.
The activity encouraged observation of nature while also
developing creativity and environmental awareness.
☁️ Soft and Fluffy Cotton Cloud
Art
Using soft cotton, paper, and plenty of imagination,
students created delightful monsoon cloud artwork. As they worked, they
were introduced to simple ideas about clouds and rainfall.
This enjoyable activity helped strengthen their fine
motor skills, concentration, and artistic expression while making learning
about weather fun and memorable.
⛵ Floating Boat Fun
What is a monsoon celebration without paper boats?
Students enthusiastically folded and decorated their own
colourful paper boats before setting them afloat in water. Excitement
filled the air as the children watched their little creations glide along,
cheering and enjoying one of the most cherished experiences associated with
rainy days.
🌧️ Learning Beyond the
Classroom
The Monsoon Activity Day was much more than an art-and-craft
programme. Each activity encouraged children to observe nature, think
creatively, experiment with materials, develop practical skills, and learn
through experience.
The combination of colourful umbrellas, fluffy clouds,
eco-friendly mushrooms, floating boats, and happy faces transformed the campus
into a lively celebration of the rainy season.
“The creativity, sparkle, and smiles on our children’s
faces made this one of the most memorable and vibrant events of the term!”
👏 With Gratitude
A big congratulations to all our talented young learners for
their enthusiastic participation, wonderful creativity, and joyful spirit.
Heartfelt appreciation goes to our dedicated event
in-charge teachers, Mrs. Trupti and Mrs. Arpita, along with all the
respective class teachers, whose careful planning, guidance, hard work,
