Mind, Body & Soul: Inspiring Yoga Session at Alevoor Poorna Prajna Public School: 13-06-2026

Alevoor, June 13 – Promoting holistic well-being and healthy living, Alevoor Poorna Prajna Public School conducted a vibrant yoga activity session on Saturday, June 13, as part of its regular Saturday wellness program. The school organises activities such as MPT (Mass Physical Training), yoga, and Aerobics every week to encourage students to maintain a healthy balance between physical fitness and mental wellness.

The yoga session was conducted under the guidance of Principal,  Ms. Anita and Ms Vijayalaxmi, who led the students through a series of energising and relaxing yoga practices. Students from Grades 1 to 8 enthusiastically participated in the program, which was organised into two sessions—Grades 1 to 4 in the first and Grades 5 to 8 in the second.

The young participants practised a variety of yoga asanas, including standing stretches, side bends, Dhanurasana (Bow Pose), twisting postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. The session focused on improving flexibility, balance, concentration, core strength, and mindfulness, while also helping students develop self-discipline and emotional well-being.

The school hall was filled with energy and positivity as students performed the exercises with dedication and enthusiasm. Their smiling faces reflected the joy of learning healthy habits and embracing a lifestyle that nurtures both body and mind.


Speaking on the occasion, the instructors highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life, especially for young learners. Regular yoga practice helps students improve focus, reduce stress, build confidence, and maintain overall physical fitness.

The activity concluded with relaxation and meditation exercises, leaving students refreshed, calm, and motivated. The session was a wonderful reminder of the school's commitment to fostering students' all-round development through meaningful wellness initiatives.
