This year, Udupi has made headlines for recording exceptionally high
rainfall, surpassing even India's traditionally wettest regions like Cherrapunji
and Agumbe. With over 1,140 mm of rainfall in June alone and a
combined total of 2,500 mm by early July, the monsoon has transformed
the landscape into a vibrant, rain-soaked paradise.
At Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School, the Kindergarten students
embraced this unique opportunity with joy and creativity through a series of Rainy
Day Activities conducted on 5th July 2025.
💧 Highlights of the Celebration:
- Rain Dance
Fun: Children
enthusiastically splashed around in rain-safe zones, dancing to rhythmic
music in their colorful raincoats and umbrellas.
- Puddle Play: With safety ensured, tiny feet enjoyed
jumping and hopping in puddles, bringing sheer joy and giggles.
- Nature
Walks: Students were
taken for guided walks around the campus to observe rain patterns, listen
to the sound of falling raindrops, and discover tiny creatures like snails
and earthworms.
- Art &
Craft: Children painted
scenes of monsoon magic—clouds, rainbows, frogs, and umbrellas—bringing
their rainy day imagination to life.
- Story Time
& Rhymes: Teachers
narrated rain-themed stories and rhymes, helping students connect
emotionally and educationally with the season.

It was truly heartwarming to witness the children learning with such
enthusiasm, celebrating the beauty of nature and rain in a safe and structured
environment.

splashes, and lifelong memories.
