Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School is all set to immerse in festive fervor on 16th August 2025 as it celebrates Krishna Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, with a vibrant line-up of devotional and cultural activities. The celebration, beginning at 9:30 AM on the school premises, aims to combine spirituality with creativity, giving students a joyful and meaningful festive experience.
Poornaprajna Institutions: Upholding Values and Culture
Poornaprajna Institutions have always stood for values, culture, and the timeless principles imparted by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. The Janmashtami celebration is an occasion to reflect on these teachings—emphasizing righteousness (dharma), devotion (bhakti), and selfless service (seva)—while passing them on to the younger generation through joyful participation.
Special Activities for Playgroup to UKG
The youngest members of our school will be participating in the Bal Krishna & Radha Makeover Special and the Little Krishna & Radha Fancy Dress Competition. Children will be dressed in divine attire, experiencing the joy of embodying Little Krishna or Radha for the day. These activities not only introduce our little ones to Indian tradition but also help nurture confidence and stage presence in a fun and engaging way.
Cultural Festivities for Classes 1 to 8
Students from 1st to 8th Standard will be adding color and energy to the celebration through a variety of performances and traditional observances, including:
-
Wearing traditional attire to mark the festive spirit.
-
Singing devotional songs in praise of Lord Krishna.
-
Performing dance sequences inspired by Krishna’s life and teachings.
-
Taking part in the ever-popular Dahi Handi celebration, symbolizing teamwork, determination, and joy.
