On 12th July 2025, the
students of Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School participated in a Bookmark
Making Activity that blended art, creativity, and a love for books. The event
was filled with colourful energy as students enthusiastically designed bookmarks
using various materials like paper, glitter, ribbons, stickers, and markers.
With great enthusiasm,
students turned simple strips of card into vibrant and unique pieces of art.
Some bookmarks carried motivational quotes, others were inspired by nature,
animals, and even their favourite books.
The activity aimed at:
- ✂️ Enhancing creative thinking and design skills
- 🎨 Encouraging self-expression through art
- 📖 Instilling a deeper connection with books and reading
- 😊 Offering a platform for hands-on, joyful learning
It was heartwarming to
see every child fully immersed in the process—cutting, coloring, gluing, and
laughing with their peers. Teachers facilitated the activity by encouraging
originality and appreciating each student's effort.
The bookmark-making activity served not only as an artistic outlet but also reinforced the
importance of reading and valuing books. Students took home their handmade
bookmarks proudly, eager to use them in their storybooks and textbooks.
This delightful session
was another step in nurturing the artistic talents of our young learners and
making learning more interactive and joyful.
Art is a powerful form of expression, and our students at Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School proved it with their creativity and enthusiasm.
