Educational Visit to Abharan Innovation Jewellery Workshop on 6th December 2025

A Day of Creativity, Craftsmanship, and Real-World Learning for Students of Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School

Students of Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School had an extraordinary learning experience during their educational visit to the Abharan Innovation Jewellery Workshop, an esteemed space where traditional artistry meets cutting-edge craftsmanship. The visit opened a fascinating window into the world of jewellery designing, production, and the cultural heritage behind India’s ornament-making traditions.

From the moment they arrived, the students were warmly welcomed by the Abharan Innovation team. The session began with an informative orientation that highlighted the rich legacy of Indian and Bengali jewellery styles, tracing how designs have evolved across generations. Students learned how ancestral craftsmanship continues to inspire contemporary creations, blending age-old handwork techniques with today’s modern technology.

Exploring the Heart of Jewellery Making

During the visit, students toured several specialized departments, each offering a hands-on understanding of the detailed processes involved in jewellery manufacturing.

🔹 3D Jewellery Designing Unit

Students were fascinated to witness how digital creativity takes shape through advanced 3D designing software and modelling machines. They observed how computer-generated designs enable precise mould creation, ensuring accuracy and uniformity in the final product. This unit demonstrated how technology is revolutionising traditional industries.

🔹 Gold & Silver Casting Unit

The casting process captured everyone’s attention as students watched metals being melted and poured into moulds to form rings, chains, studs, and other intricate pieces. They gained insight into the scientific principles of heat, temperature control, and metallurgy involved in this delicate process.

🔹 Stone Setting Unit

Students were amazed by the artistry and patience required in stone setting, where expert craftsmen carefully select, cut, and position precious stones. The precision with which stones are embedded into jewellery pieces offered a humbling perspective on the craftsmanship behind every ornament.

🔹 Polishing & Finishing Section

Here, students learned how meticulous polishing techniques transform raw cast pieces into sparkling finished jewellery. They observed various stages of buffing, brushing, and detailing that enhance shine, texture, and overall elegance.

🔹 Jewellery Box Manufacturing Unit

The visit extended beyond jewellery making to the creation of beautifully crafted jewellery boxes. Students witnessed how these boxes are designed and assembled to ensure that ornaments are stored safely while also being visually appealing.

Hands-On Learning Through Real Samples

Students had the opportunity to closely examine real samples such as Navaratna rings, gold chains, studs, and a variety of designer ornaments. Each piece helped them appreciate the immense skill, creativity, and patience invested in crafting jewellery that is both beautiful and meaningful.

This exposure helped students understand not only the artistic process but also the cultural significance of jewellery in Indian traditions—symbolizing heritage, celebration, and identity.

Inspiration for Future Careers

The experience sparked curiosity among many students about potential career paths in

  • Jewellery Designing
  • Gemology
  • 3D Modelling & CAD Designing
  • Metalsmithing & Craftsmanship
  • Creative Arts & Product Design

The visit served as a real-world example of how art, science, technology, and tradition can come together to form innovative careers.

A Warm and Memorable Conclusion

After the enriching tour, students were delighted with refreshments including samosa, sukrundo, and Amul drink, adding a joyful ending to an educational and inspiring day.

The students returned to Alevoor Poornaprajna Public School with broadened perspectives, new knowledge, and unforgettable memories. Their excitement reflected the success of the visit—one filled with innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning.
